About the Job
Were seeking an individual to manage entire gamut of Technical operations and Production infrastructure for all websites of Info Edge. Your role would involve leading a team responsible for with a solid system administration background, especially on Open Source LAMP stack. As leader of the technical operations team, you would define the roadmap, metrics, processes and monitoring infrastructure that aid in near 100% reliability and uptime of all operations.
Develop Technical Operations strategies to help the organization achieve Service quality, reliability availability and scalability of the production infrastructure.
Ability to provide Vision, Strategy, Governance, Compliance, Project & People Management.
Escalation point for technical and business related issues for India infrastructure, both in and out of office hours.
Priorities, assign duties and work delegation with-in team.
Work independently or with limited supervision to achieve agreed targets and goals to drive team & organization towards next level.
Strong focus on Customers, Innovation, People Management, Controls, Risk and drive efficiency in daily operations.
Managing CMS, Manual/Automated Configuration, Patch management and upgrades of the software stacks.
Actively participate as a team member share with colleagues knowledge, skills and experience of process, product, standards and systems
Exposer in managing NOC, L2 and L3 support team management.
Technical advancements of the various infrastructures for scale-up and optimal Resource-utilization.
Bring Automation as an where possible at every level of application or network or hardware.
Hands on resource on LAMP stack especially CentOS, CDN, AWS Services, Apache, Nginx, LBS, Open Monitoring Tools like Zabbix or Nagios, DNS, Dockers, Jenkins, etc.
Experience in devising and running build/release process. Knowledge of Puppet/Cobbler/Foreman would be an added advantage.
You will be successful in this role if you:
Strong hands-on experience in building & managing huge infrastructure of Linux servers, Database, Web Servers etc.
At least 10+ years in technical operations/site reliability on Linux systems, MySQL databases, clusters.
Should have experience in managing complex troubleshooting scenarios.
Ability and readiness to roll up the sleeves and get to troubleshooting when needed hands-on expertise is a strong expectation.
Should have Experience in General Management activities including head count, career development, Appraisals.
Ability to build, coach and motivate a high performance technical service team, while holding the team accountable for results.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines.
